to Charleston to tour the

Spoleto Art Show in Marion Square!

Friday, June 4

$23 per person

Depart at 9:00 a.m. Return at 6:00 p.m.

We are chartering a Capital Bus that holds 55 people.

Send your $23 and the form below to reserve your spot.

First come, first serve.

We will meet at Capital Bus Tours at 2926 Leaphart Road, West Columbia at 8:30 a.m. They have a large parking area for our cars.

We will arrive at the Charleston Visitors Center on Meeting Street around 11:00. The Visitors Center has a juried Spoleto exhibit to view and excellent bathrooms!

We will walk 2 blocks to Marion Square Park where the Piccolo Spoleto artists are set up. This show is free.

Across Meeting Street in the courtyard of Second Presbyterian Church, there is the Piccolo Spoleto Fine Crafts Show. Admission to this is $3, free for seniors. Both of these are wonderful shows!!

Both shows are outside, so dress accordingly. We will go rain or shine.

Lunch options:

Second Presbyterian Church operates a tea room during Spoleto from

11:30 – 2:30. They serve Charleston favorites like she-crab soup, okra soup, a variety of salads, etc. Hugenot Torte for dessert! Cost is around $8.

St. Matthews Lutheran Church (across King Street from Marion Square) also operates a tea room featuring light lunch and desserts.

There are several other restaurants within walking distance from Marion Square: Rue de Jean, Virginia's of King, and numerous restaurants down King Street. Or you can brown bag it in the park!!
