Marty has been making art since she was a youngster. She has dabbled in most every medium. She primarily focuses on using charcoal and water media to illustrate her fascination of the natural world. Marty’s art training comes from Erskine College, the University of Georgia, the University of South Carolina, and the Ringling School of Art and Design. Her work has been exhibited regularly in private gallery shows, juried art guild shows, museum displays, and state fair competitions. She has received awards in local, state, and national art competitions. After teaching art in the public school system for thirty years, she enjoys devoting more of her time to art activities. It continues to be her passion.
