William Arnott

"My avocation has always been geared to the arts. My love of the arts started when I was in elementary school in Keene New Hampshire, a small town with a vibrant art community. Evidenced by several notable artists to spend time or live in the region: Barry Faulkner, Maxfield Parrish, Norman Rockwell, Tom Blackwell, Daniel Chester French, Bob Collier, Robert Way, Richard Whitney, Edward Gordon Nicole Caulfield. Just to name a few. In my teenage years I studied under Robert Way and Debbra Crowder. I am still lucky enough to have Bob mentor my artistic career.

To date my work does not have a common theme, cause, and subject. I find my inspiration all around. However, I strive to accurately represent form, shape and color and light, while matching my technique to my vision. I currently work in color pencil and watercolors, using the media’s transparency to build deep and vibrant color and light."
