Twenty years ago Jennie took a giant step toward fulfilling her dream. She entered college along with her children. In her first drawing class she discovered she could draw faces. Her excitement for art and the face has not diminished. She graduated from Columbia College with a BA in Art and Arts Management.

After graduation Jennie remained at the college to become the Art Gallery Director. She served as the Founding President of Crooked Creek Art League, served as Superintendent of Fine Arts for the South Carolina State Fair, is a member of many local and regional arts organizations and has served on many art related boards.

She is an award winning artist with her work in many private and corporate collections. First Citizens Bank and the Columbia Marriott are among the latest acquisitions.

Work in most mediums may be seen: Columbia, The Gallery at Nonnah’s; Chapin, Laurie Groom’s, Pawley’s Island; Anastasio’s.
