Jim Finch

Jim grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial Management.  He began drawing and painting at an early age and studied art throughout his school years.  Jim is a self-taught artist and paints in watercolor and oils.  He is inspired by nature and most of his work reflects landscapes he has seen and touched.  He has studied with artists Robert Mills, Irving Shapiro, Stephen Quiller, Ken Auster and Billyo Donnell.  He is influenced by Roy Mason, Edgar Payne, Winslow Homer and Richard Schmid.

 An award winning artist, Jim is a member of the South Carolina Watercolor Society, an active member of the Southern Watercolor Society, Past President of the Trenholm Artists Guild and Past President of the South Carolina Watercolor Society.
