Donna Lynn Gore

Donna is a Speech-Language Pathologist by profession and an artist at heart. Music and a love of art come naturally as she comes from a family of musicians and artists. Donna began to devote serious energy to her art when her youngest son left for college. Focus was placed on workshops and classes with a number of well-known artists and associating and painting with fellow artists in order to have an opportunity to share, critique, and grow. "Becoming an active participant in the art community is vital for an artist's inspiration and growth."

Donna received the SC State Fair "Spirit of Achievement Award 2003" for outstanding contributions to the Art Community. A member of the South Carolina Watercolor Society, Cider Painters of America, Trenholm Artists Guild, Crooked Creek Art League, Seven Oaks Art League, Hilton Head Art League, Alabama Watercolor Society, Georgia Watercolor Society, and Southern Watercolor Society, Donna has won many awards and participates in numerous exhibits and art galleries.

"Although I have painted in oils and acrylics, I love watercolor and other water media. I particularly focus on color, and creating light and texture in my work. Painting is a passion and an opportunity to become lost in the creative process. When this happens, the colors flow and the excitement grows as well."
