"Colored Pencils - my new favorite medium!"

I was born in Trenton, N.J. and traveled during my formative years as an Air Force "brat."  I lived in Japan, Belgium, Turkey and Germany as well as in numerous cities around the United States.  South Carolina is my "adopted" home.  I went to first grade in Sumter, S.C., traveled all over the place and then returned to complete my Bachelor's Degree at the University of South Carolina.  I have lived continually in South Carolina since 1964.  I began painting in 1998 after retiring from my first career.  .  I strive to improve my work through workshops, lessons and painting every day.  I love to paint flowers but my current passion is portraits!  I have studied with Earl Woods, Maggie Hoybach, Judy Betts and Ann Kullberg among others.  I work in watercolor, acrylic and my new favorite medium: COLORED PENCILS.

In addition to my painting, I am active in three art guilds.  I designed and maintain the websites for the Trenholm Artists Guild, Seven Oaks Art League and the Crooked Creek Art League.  My work can be seen at the Village Artists Gallery in the Village at Sandhill in Columbia, S.C.

Please visit my personal website at where I display more of my work.
