Joanne McDermott

Joanne McDermott, a professionally trained artist and designer, has been working in oils, acrylics and watercolors for over ten years. She is a graduate of Pratt Institute of Art and Design in Brooklyn, NY. In addition to her formal education, Joanne continues to attend numerous professionally trained seminars throughout the Southeast. Moreover, she is an active member of the SC Watercolor Society, Log Cabin Art Guild, Trenholm Artists Guild and About Face at the Columbia Museum of Art. Prior to retiring to devote full time attention to her love of art, Joanne worked as a package designer and electrical logic designer in the field of engineering and technical illustration. She enjoys swimming, Yoga and many creative art and craft type hobbies. She draws on inspiration obtained from her many travels overseas. She loves versatility of all mediums. Her most recent interest is in sculpture and ceramics.
