Mary Elliott Williams

Although working as a nurse over 20 years, Mary began sketching portraits in high school, taking art classes in watercolor, acrylic, tole and oil painting at every opportunity. “I love people’s faces” and I paint not just the likeness but reflect the spirit and personality of the subject. Thomas Nash, Michael Del Priore, David Leffel, and Nelson Shanks are among her workshop teachers. I also enjoy the freedom of landscapes and painting out of doors. I feel that being an artist is God’s gift and hope my art brings encouragement and joy in these troubled times.
