Barbara Alston Yongue

I really enjoy the challenge of creating.  The completely different challenges of plein air and portrait painting are my special loves. In portraiture, I follow the traditional painting methods and use glazing techniques , In plein air the purpose is in the being there in the middle of it all.... the heat...the cold ... the bugs and the onlookers. To paint in plein air is to experience joy.
