Snapshots from our

January 9, 2006 meeting.

Guest Presenter - Hal Moore

Hal Moore, a long time member and great supporter of the arts, returned for a visit and provided us with a demonstration.  Hal was a fixture at the Wednesday painting group, before he moved away, and even had a reserved spot at the table.  If a newcomer accidentally unloaded  supplies prior to Hal’s arrival, a chorus of voices proclaimed, “That’s Hal’s seat.” Hal has taught many workshops in watercolor and acrylic and in turn has been a regular at workshops at Spingmaid Beach. He has numerous awards to his credit and is a member of many art societies across the United States.  He now lives in Georgetown, SC.  He is known for his non-objective watercolor paintings.  His work is displayed in art galleries in Myrtle Beach, Litchfield, Georgetown, and surrounding areas.  All of the proceeds from the sale of Hal’s work are donated to the “Smile Train,” which helps with life changing surgeries for children born with clef lip and palette.
