Snapshots Guest Speaker: Patrick Parise January 12, 2009 |
Patrick Parise lives and works in Columbia, S.C. His mother's love of art and painting led him to pursue a career in the arts. He was educated at Bethany College in Kansas and at the University of South Carolina. Under the guidance of USC professor Boyd Saunders, Patrick fell in love with printmaking and opened his own painting studio where he still turns out etchings. In recent years, Patrick has returned to painting and is experimenting with new styles of painting on varied surfaces. He is also well known for his design of custom floors, inlaid with wood, granite and marble. See examples of Patrick's work at www.patrickparise.com.
