Guest Presenter - Roy Paschal

Roy Paschal was born in South Carolina. A South Carolina full of natural beauty. From the wide expanses of a low country marsh to the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. As a boy he roamed these natural habitats searching for glimpses of wildlife or merely enjoying the sights and sounds of nature.

To this day you can find Roy knee deep in a salt water marsh or hiking along a trail. With his sketch pad or paints in hand he is always looking for that special spot to glimpse the magic of nature. Enjoying and painting the diminishing sights and people being overtaken by our ever growing and expanding population.

At the TAG meeting, Roy introduced the Zorn palette to the group and then demonstrated his portrait skills with this palette of four colors:  white, black, cad red and yellow ochre.  Roy shared techniques, skills and a bit of humor as he completed his protrait in 45 minutes.  Dave Phillips was the model.
