Jean Cauthen is a painter whose primary subject is landscape. Working "plein-air" (on location) means she combines two of her great passions, painting and travel. Her other passion is teaching. She offers various courses in painting, drawing, art history and workshops (regional and in Italy). Currently, she teaches at UNC-Charlotte and offers a summer workshop in Italy through Il Chiostro. www.ilchiostro.com
